Allison Petrini MD helps patients overcome infertility and become parents

Allison Petrini MD proudly provides infertility diagnosis and treatment in her home state of Texas. After growing up just outside of Houston, this South Austin fertility doctor attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate studies. She then graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

After medical school, Dr. Petrini moved to New York City to complete her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital through Weill Cornell Medical College. During her residency, she had the honor of serving as administrative chief resident. Her stellar performance in residency earned her a place in the elite Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship program at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Petrini has won multiple awards during her medical career

Allison Petrini MD has earned a long list of awards and honors as both a student and a physician. Among these are the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the Jerome Seiler Memorial Award for Excellence in Pelvic Surgery and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award. Not only that, but she has also received several teaching awards.

Research is a passion for this South Austin fertility doctor. As a result, she has authored numerous scientific publications and has had her research featured at many conferences around the United States and the world. For her research, she has won several awards, including the Society of Reproductive Surgeons In-Training Award for Research and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Prize Paper.

Allison Petrini MD diagnoses and treats the causes of infertility

Thanks to her extensive training, Dr. Petrini can diagnose and treat the basic and complex causes of infertility. She has a special interest in helping patients who have a diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and male factor infertility. She has also received extensive training in the surgical management of infertility. 

When Allison Petrini MD isn’t working as a South Austin fertility doctor, she loves spending time with her family. In fact, family is what inspired her and her husband to move back to Texas. In her spare time, she loves trying new restaurants, traveling, practicing yoga and reading.
